What is it about this sleet-soaked patch of land that demands acquiescence to Nature’s cycles? Here we sit, snugly heated, bathed in light, sipping wi-fi like soothing tea, and yet it is because of Nature’s will we are doing so.
When rough weather looms, there is nothing to do on the farm except care for the basic needs of two and four-legged animals alike- food, water, shelter and then…wait it out. A day or two of enforced self care as the wind howls. A dash of literal chill time as winter deepens.
